    2015年3月12日，在美国波士顿召开的国际牙科研究协会（IADR）年会中，周学东教授受邀担任IADR会员发展委员会（Membership and Recruitment Committee）委员。

    国际生物医学研究协会International Association of Biological and Medical Research （IABMR）执委会2015年3月13日在哈佛大学Forsyth研究中心召开，执委会经过讨论，全票通过周学东教授当选新一任主席。IABMR是美国哈佛大学、塔夫茨大学、阿拉巴马大学等知名院校教授于2002年发起成立的生物医学研究国际协会，总部设在美国哈佛大学Forsyth研究中心。
