    2014年9月5日，国际牙医师中国区（International College of Dentists Section XIII-China, ICD China Section）2014年度新院士授予仪式在成都隆重举行。ICD全球副主席、秘书长DrJohn Hinterman（美国）、ICD国际理事、缅甸区主席DrTunTunThwe、中华口腔医学会会长王兴教授、ICD中国区主席周学东教授、秘书长陈谦明教授、ICD杰出院士王大章教授和中国区院士等100余人出席了会议。

    ICD全球副主席、秘书长DrJohn Hinterman向来自全国口腔医学领域的42名新当选ICD院士介绍ICD的发展沿革和使命的主旨演讲。ICD国际理事DrTunTunThwe、中华口腔医学会会长王兴教授、中国区主席周学东教授分别代表ICD总部、中华口腔医学会和ICD中国区致辞，并为每位新Fellow颁发证书以及ICD金钥匙和金别针。
